Euregio managing directors in Berlin

The Euregio managing directors are paying a working visit to Berlin this week. This is because many cross-border issues are decided there.

They started at the Bundesministerium des Innern. Among other things, they discussed border controls, security and disaster control, the new 34-day home office rule for cross-border commuters, the Bridge for EU Regulation, the DE-NL parental allowance issue and healthcare in the border regions.

Today, the Euregio managing directors met with the Dutch ambassador in Berlin, Hester Somsen, and the German ambassador in The Hague, Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut. Among other things, they discussed the EU's multiannual financial framework and its significance for the Interreg Deutschland-Nederland programme.
